The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ April Payroll Survey reported a seasonally adjusted gain of 263,000 jobs, 236,000 in the private sector. Prior month revisions: March total jobs growth was revised down , but not significantly, from a gain of 196,000 to a gain of 189,000 . February growth was revised up by 23,000 from a gain of 33,000 to a gain of 56,000 .
