The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ December Payroll Survey reported a seasonally adjusted gain of 312,000 jobs, 301,000 in the private sector. Prior month revisions: November total jobs growth was revised up by 21,000 from a gain of 155,000 to a gain of 176,000 . October growth was revised up by 37,000 from a gain of 237,000 to a gain of 274,000 .
