The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ May Payroll Survey reported a seasonally adjusted gain of 280,000 jobs, 262,000 in the private sector.
Prior month revisions: April total jobs growth was revised down , but not significantly, from a gain of 223,000 to a gain of 221,000 .
March growth was revised up by 34,000 from a gain of 85,000 to a gain of 119,000 .
