The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ January Payroll Survey reported a seasonally adjusted gain of 225,000 jobs, 206,000 in the private sector. Prior month revisions: December total jobs growth was revised up , but not significantly, from a gain of 145,000 to a gain of 147,000 . November growth was revised up , but not significantly, from a gain of 256,000 to a gain of 261,000 .
