The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ May Payroll Survey reported a seasonally adjusted gain of 223,000 jobs, 218,000 in the private sector. Prior month revisions: April total jobs growth was revised down , but not significantly, from a gain of 164,000 to a gain of 159,000 . March growth was revised up by 20,000 from a gain of 135,000 to a gain of 155,000 .
